Dawn Liden Oscoda Press Obituary August 17, 2011

Christopher Sean Pfeil passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev., at the age of 39 from a massive heart attack.

Chris was born July 23, 1971, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Donald C. Pfeil and Rebecca Wagoner. He spent his childhood growing up at various Air Force bases, including Reese AFB in Lubbock, Texas, and Headquarters EUCOM in Stuttgart, Germany, before coming to Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda in 1986. Chris attended Oscoda High School until he was 16. He left the area to travel across the country from California to New Jersey, including a brief time working in the fisheries in Alaska.

As an adult, Chris worked mainly as a freelance glazier in New Jersey and along the East Coast. He then traveled west and settled in Las Vegas, where he met and married Jaycee Cruz on July 22, 2005. In 2006, he and his wife returned to the Mikado area, where they resided with his parents, Donald and Linda Pfeil. He was employed by John's Home Maintenance of Lincoln. He had many friends in the Jokers Club of Mikado. In 2010, Chris and family went back to Las Vegas to find work in his field.

Chris is survived by his parents, Donald and Linda Pfeil of Mikado; his mother, Rebecca (nee Wagoner) Fitzgerald of St. Louis; sisters Kimberley (nee Pfeil) Gough of Sault Ste. Marie and Xena (nee Hojnacki) Walden of Douglas, Ga.; brother, Jarrett L. Hess of Buffalo, N.Y.; daughters, Kori and Emily Pfeil of New Jersey; stepdaughters, Kianna and Tiare; stepson, Patrick; and two beloved granddaughters. He will be sadly missed by his best friend, Dawn Liden, and by his many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Cremation took place in Las Vegas after services at Valley Funeral Home on July 21.

Dawn Liden to everyone July 30, 2011
the ones who knew Shaun, knows of the grieving in each others hearts over his passing. let us respectfully honor him on this site and in any other forum dedicated to him. let our hearts be reassured that he is at peace. he did not find the apex of peace in this world, but i believe he has found it now. let us rejoice for him. let us support one another in the grief we are experiencing. may there only be kind words and gestures. may we demonstrate our love for him through our actions and words to one another. peace be to us all.....
